Q & A
Q: ARE THERE ANY VACANCIES IN YOUR COMPANY FOR ME?
A: Yes, there are. We are always looking for Certified Ratings and Officers, for permanent and contract positions for both regional and international positions. The nature of the Employment Contract is dependant upon the specific requirements of the Ship Owner / Manager (Client). However 95 % of the time we employ the crew and deploy them to specific Clients. Thus guaranteeing salaries, medical insurance and repatriation.

Q: WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO BE PAID?
A: Again this depends primarily on our Client's current salary structures, as the Client obviously does not want us to pay our staff any more or any less than what they are paying their current staff. Therefore salaries for all positions whether permanent or contract will be market-related and based on criteria such as qualification, previous positions (experience), whether it's permanent or contract, location, leave ratio, etc.

Q: ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL BENEFITS?
A: We do offer a Medical Aid and Provident Fund. Also besides IMO and SAMSA stipulated safety wear we also provide working gear such as overalls and boots.

Q: ARE THERE ANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADVANCEMENT IN YOUR COMPANY?
A: With our permanent and contract staff, our policy is to constantly seek positions that will offer better conditions and then re-deploy them as a form of promotion. With regards to training, we undertake to plan and schedule training and examinations for our staff so as to maintain current qualifications and to improve an individual's qualifications. All training is subsidized by the Company. As we are not a Ship Owner we are unable to offer cadetships directly. However we do assist school leavers with career guidance and wherever possible assist in securing a cadetship with one of our existing Clients. Contact us for more. Contact us for more.
Q: WILL I BE LIABLE FOR MY OWN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AND COSTS?
A: No, not at all. We take care of all necessary mustering and repatriation arrangements and costs.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS TO ME OR MY FAMILY IN THE EVENT OF A WORKPLACE ACCIDENT?
A: We have a comprehensive Medical Insurance, that covers all unfortunate incidences. This covers a death and disability insurance. Therefore in the event of an accident you will be evacuated from the vessel or area, and sent to the nearest hospital. Once you are able to travel you will be moved to a hospital closer to your home. The medical insurance covers all initial costs and subsequent rehabilitation costs. It also provides for a lump sum payment in the event of a permanent disability or death.
